Sinds 1995 is de heer J.W. van Berkum, Chevalier de l'Ordre du Mérite du Bénin, honorair consul van de République du Bénin in Nederland. Het consulaat wordt bemand door mevr. drs. M.A. Fierstra.
Benin kent een visumplicht. Visa voor Benin worden door het consulaat afgegeven. Visa kunnen per post aangevraagd en afgehandeld worden.

U wordt verzocht vooraf telefonisch een afspraak te maken indien u langs wenst te komen.
Het consulaat is niet altijd bemand. Het is dan ook raadzaam zelf te controleren of uw visumaanvraag tijdig afgehandeld kan worden door vooraf contact op te nemen met het consulaat. Voor spoedgevallen kunt u altijd terecht bij de Ambassade van Benin te Brussel.

Routebeschrijving 
Neem vanaf Amsterdam-CS metrolijn 53, richting Gaasperplas. Stap uit bij de halte Venserpolder. U verlaat het metrostation langs de snackkraam en steekt het zebrapad recht over. Vervolgens gaat u linksaf en loopt u de Dalsteindreef af. U passeert de Daniël Defoelaan. Bij de Dantestraat slaat u rechtsaf. U volgt de Dantestraat tot flatnummer 92. Hier gaat u linksaf en steekt de Dubbelinkdreef over. Voor u ziet u kantoorpanden liggen. U loopt rechtdoor, de Wisselwerking op. Aan uw rechterkant staat een groot, grijs pand (Wisselwerking 58, groene vlaggen, Carlson Wagonlit Travel). U blijft rechtdoor lopen tot de splitsing. Ons pand (grijs-wit, drie verdiepingen met een 'toren') ligt nu recht voor u, direct achter het bordje 'Diemerhof'. In het perk rond ons kantoor staat het bord 'P Ingang Bezoekers' en 'Hoofdstad'. De ingang van het pand bevindt zich aan de achterzijde. U volgt de pijl 'Wisselwerking 2 t/m 18' en loopt langs de buitenzijde van het kantoor. U volgt nu het Waterhoenpad. Bij de rood-witte slagbomen aan uw linkerkant, gemarkeerd met de vlaggen van 'Hoofdstad', gaat u het parkeerterrein op. U gaat het gebouw binnen waar u uw komst aankondigt op de begane grond.
Het kantoor ligt tussen de gebouwen van 'GWK Travelex worldwide money' en 'AC-Nielsen' en tegenover het kantoor van 'Manpower'.

Itinerary 
If you are travelling to the consulate by public tranport, you should take metro no. 53, direction 'Gaasperplas', departing from Amsterdam-CS, and get off at the stop 'Venserpolder'. Leaf the metro station by passing the fish and chips stand and cross the 'Dalsteindreef' at the zebra crossing. Turn left and follow the 'Dalsteindreef', passing by the 'Daniël Defoelaan.' At the 'Dantestraat' you turn to the right. Follow the 'Dantestraat' up till flatnumber 92. Here you turn to the left, crossing the 'Dubbelinkdreef'. In front of you there are office buildings. Go straight on, entering de 'Wisselwerking'. On your right hand there is a big grey office building ('Wisselwerking 58', with green flags, where 'Carlson Wagonlit Travel' is located). Go straight on, up till the crossing. Now our office (greyish white, three stocks high with a 'tower') is right in front of you, directly behind the sign 'Diemerhof'. In the flowerbed surrounding our building there is a sign 'P Ingang Bezoekers' and 'Hoofdstad'. The entrance is at the back of the building. Follow the arrow sign 'Wisselwerking 2 t/m 18' and walk along the outside of the building, following the 'Waterhoenpad'. At the white-red barriers at the left, marked by the banners of 'Hoofdstad', you enter the car park. In the building you have to announce your arrival on the ground floor.
Our office building is located between the buildings of 'GWK Travelex worldwide money' and 'AC-Nielsen' and opposite the 'Manpower' building.

Plan d'accès 
Depuis la Gare Centrale d'Amsterdam vous prenez le métro numéro 53, direction Gaasperplas. Sortez à l'arrêt Venserpolder. Sortez de la gare en passant devant la friterie. Traversez la rue par le passage pour piétons. Vous vous trouvez sur le Dalsteindreef. Vous tournez à gauche et vous continuez à marcher sur le Dalsteindreef jusqu'à la fin où vous prenez à droite la rue: Dantestraat. Suivez la Dantestraat jusq'au numéro 92. Traversez ensuite la grande rue Dubbelinkdreef. Vous continuez tout droit. Vous êtes maintenant sur la rue: Wisselwerking. A votre main droite vous avez un grand bâtiment gris (Wisselwerking 58, drapeaux verts, Carlson Wagonlit Travel). Vous continuez tout droit jusqu'au carrefour. Notre bureau (blanc/gris, trois étages avec une tour intégrée) se trouve en face de vous, derrière les panneaux Diemerhof et P Ingang Bezoekers et Hoofdstad. L'entrée du bâtiment se trouve sur le parking. Vous suivez la flèche Wisselwerking 2 t/m 18 et la direction de Waterhoenpad jusqu'à l'entrée à votre main gauche de notre bâtiment et de son parking marqués par les deux barrières rouges/blanches et les deux drapeaux blancs de l'entreprise Hoofdstad. Vous entrez dans le bâtiment où vous annoncez votre arrivée au rez-de-chaussée.
L'immeuble se trouve entre les immeubles de GWK Travelex worldwide money et celui de AC-Nielsen et en face du bâtiment de Manpower.
